With more than 25 years of professional experience, Mr. Anderson was the manufacturing training specialist for Loral InfraRed & Imaging Systems, Inc., from 1989 to 1991, having been a senior human resources development specialist from 1986 to 1989. Prior to obtaining these roles, he was with Honeywell Information Systems as an organization development specialist from 1985 to 1986 and a management development specialist from 1980 to 1985. From 1977 to 1979, he was a program director of Care About Now, Inc.; from 1971 to 1975, he was an administration consultant and international training consultant for the Job Corps with International Training Consultants and from 1968 to 1971, he was a regional coordinator for Educational Systems Corporation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Anderson was a basic education consultant with McGraw-Hill Book Company from 1967 to 1968 and a reading instructor with Sly Park Job Corps Center from 1965 to 1967.
Mr. Anderson began his career as a student at Hobart College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1959. He attended the University of Minnesota Law School in 1960, subsequently joining the United States Navy where he attained the rank of lieutenant until 1964. He was a trustee of World Learning, the former director of Musicians of the Old Post Road, and a member of International Living President's Associates, Outward Bound Expeditioners, Scandinavian Forum, the American-Scandinavian Foundation, Theta Delta Chi, and the Ancient Order of the Deep. Mr. Anderson has also volunteered with the Arlington Food Pantry, as well as acted as a co-founder and treasurer of Friends of Spy Pond Park, chief class correspondent on the Alumni Council of Hobart College, and the former treasurer of the Mystic River Watershed Association.
Throughout his career, Mr. Anderson has been recognized for his contributions, including with the Founder's Award from the Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center and a Distinguished Service Award for Lifetime Service to Hobart College. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, and Who's Who in the World.
