Roger William Sinderman has been the director of nuclear services at Consumers Energy since 1984.

Since 1984, Mr. Sinderman has been the director of nuclear services at Consumers Energy. Four years prior, he was working as a director of radiological services at Consumers Powers Co. in Jackson, MI. Before taking this position, Mr. Sinderman acted as plant health physicist, health physicist and environmental health physicist at Consumers Power Co. in Jackson, MI from 1968 to 1980.
Mr. Sinderman's first professional post was as an associate engineer and general engineer in the nuclear operations department of Consumers Power Co.'s nuclear electric generating Big Rock Point power plant near Charlevoix, MI from 1966 to 1968. He considers the highlight of his career to be directing the team that led to the successful national certification of the company's radiation laboratory, the first certification in the United States for dosimetry accuracy. Mr. Sinderman's passion for this work began as a young child because he was always determined to understand how things worked.
Mr. Sinderman's academic pursuits began at the University of Michigan in 1964, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering. He continued his studies at the same academic institution and received a Master of Science in health physics in 1965. Ultimately, he obtained a Master of Public Health in radiation biology in 1966. Mr. Sinderman was a DuPont Fellow in 1964 and is a member of the Health Physics Society.
As an expert in the field, Mr. Sinderman has authored numerous creative works over the years, including contributing articles to various journals. He co-authored works for the American National Standards Institute called "Liquid Radio Active Waster Processing System for Boiling Water Nuclear Reactors" and "Liquid Radio Active Waste Processing System for Pressurized Water Nuclear Reactors." In addition, he co-authored "Absolute Chamber Pressure in Center Fired Rifles." Mr. Sinderman has previously been featured in Who's Who in the World.
