ATCO, NJ, October 11, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Alan Ralph Blackford with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Blackford celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After accruing more than 30 years of practiced experience in music education, Mr. Blackford retired from his role as a vocal teacher with the Waterford Township School District in 2017. Currently, he serves as an accompanist and director of the Cinnaminson Community Chorus. Over the years, he has also had the honor of working as an organist and choir director with the Trinity Episcopal Church. Throughout his career, he has had numerous highlights, including a concert he gave in the spring of 2012 with his adult choir. As a child, he was inspired by his grandfather to pursue music. At his grandparents' house, he would tinker around with their piano and once his parents noticed his innate skill, they fostered his passion and secured piano lessons.
An expert in his field, Mr. Blackford holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music from the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, now known as the University of the Arts. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the New Jersey Education Association. Due to his outstanding accomplishments, he has been recognized with the Teacher Recognition Award from the New Jersey Governor and the Alumni Graduation Award from the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts. Additionally, he was honored with inclusion into the 57th and 58th editions of Who's Who in America and the eighth edition of Who's Who in American Education. In the coming years, Mr. Blackford intends to enjoy his retirement.
