Charles Vincent Mastrangelo obtained the Distinguished Service Award from The Rotary Club of Brockton and currently serves his community as a member of the Dighton Chapter of Lions International.

With 20 years of professional excellence under his belt, Mr. Mastrangelo serves as an associate professor of history with Massasoit Community College, where he worked earlier in his career as a disability provider. During his time helping the disabled, he was asked to run a support group for those in need, which he later turned into a college-wide organization called the Helping Hands Club. Over the years, Mr. Mastrangelo has also lent his skills in teaching to Bristol Community College, Middlesex Community College and Cape Cod Community College.
Prior to starting with Massasoit Community College, Mr. Mastrangelo earned an Associate of Arts in liberal arts from the institution. Subsequently, he returned to academia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in history from Bridgewater State College and a Master of Arts in history from the University of Massachusetts. Due to his outstanding work, he has been recognized with the Scholar Teaching Assistant Award through the University of Massachusetts, and the Dean Margaret A. Donovan Student Development Award from Massasoit Community College. While working there he was also an advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society chapter and eventually became New England Regional Coordinator for all 58 chapters in New England (there are only 29 coordinators in the world).
Furthermore, Mr. Mastrangelo obtained the Distinguished Service Award from The Rotary Club of Brockton, currently serves his community as a member of the Dighton Chapter of Lions International, and he has been featured in the 63rd edition of Who's Who in America. In the coming years, Mr. Mastrangelo intends to continue teaching the subject he loves.
