She retired in 2002 and returned and continued to work until 2004. At the start of her career, she joined Union Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse and clinical nurse, the latter of which she maintained for 11 years. Over the course of her career, she has also lent her considerable expertise to the Baltimore City Health Department and Harford County, MD.
After working in the field for many years as a registered nurse, Ms. Huber returned to school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she has maintained affiliation with the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care and the Maryland and American Nurses Associations. For her excellence in the field, she has been rewarded with a Governor's Citation, the Heart to Heart Award from Harford County and the Unsung Hero Award from the Harford Council of Community Services. Looking forward, Ms. Huber intends to continue excelling as a nurse in Harford County.
