Upon graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law, he joined the Defense Intelligence Agency as a Special Agent. Subsequently, he gained experience as vice president, administrative officer and Legislative Research Counsel at the United States League of Savings Institutions. Over the years, he has honed his skills through positions with the National Association of Federal Credit Unions and the American Bankers Association, from which he retired as senior counsel in 2008.
In addition to his Bachelor of Arts degree, Mr. Rasmus earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar (retired). In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the Federal Bar Association and the Association of Military Banks of America. Whenever he isn't working, he makes it a point to give back to others through the Future of Hope Committee, the Overland Park South Rotary Club, the John Knox Village Foundation and The Appraisal Foundation's board of trustees. For his professional accomplishments, he has been awarded with features in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the Midwest.
