With nearly 50 years of professional experience, Ms. Greene has been the owner of Caricatures by Chris Greene since 1983, and a part-time independent caricaturist since 1981. In addition to her primary roles, her work has been featured in several galleries and exhibitions, including juried shows at the BJ Spoke Gallery and the Art League of Long Island. Earlier in her career, Ms. Greene was a textile designer with Schwartz and Liebman Textiles from 1970 to 1977 and Lowenstein and Sons Company from 1969 to 1970.
Ms. Greene was inspired to pursue a career in the field from an early age, having always been interested in art. She began her career as a student at the Newark School of Fine Industrial Arts, obtaining a diploma in 1965. She continued her studies at the Moore College of Art and Design, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1968. Ms. Greene concluded her studies with the Art Students League of New York, completing coursework in 1976.
A respected voice in her community, Ms. Greene has been affiliated with a number of organizations in her areas of expertise. She is a member of the Suburban Art League, the Independent Art Society, the National League of American Pen Women, and the BJ Spoke art Gallery. She has served as a contributor to Channel 13 and WLIW21, the Smithsonian Institute, and the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. Additionally, Ms. Greene was an illustrator for "French Fries for Siblings: The Forgotten Children of Autism."
Throughout her career, Ms. Greene has been recognized for her achievements, including having accepted the Grumbacher Art Supplies Award and an Award of Excellence at the Channel 21 Art Show. Recent awards include:
