Mr. Haeussler has been an appointed member on the advisory board for President Donald J. Trump since 2018. He served as a lecturer in Middle East business practices at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO, in 2000. He began his career as the planning director of the Lebanon County Planning Commission in Lebanon, PA, from 1962 to 1968 and as the financial planner of the McDonnell Company in New York City from 1968 to 1969. Following these appointments, he became the planning consultant at Kendree & Shepard in Philadelphia, PA, from 1969 to 1971 and the chief planner of the Northwest Pennsylvania Planning Commission from 1971 to 1974. He went on to become the executive director of the Fifth Planning District in Roanoke, VA, from 1974 to 1981 and a capital planning specialist for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, from 1981 to 1998.
Mr. Haeussler earned a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, in 1960. During this time, he received a Fels Fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia from 1960 to 1962 and went on to obtain a master's degree in government administration in 1962. He then became the county chairman of the Committee to Revise the State Constitution in Lebanon, PA, in 1966 and a member of the geography advisory committee of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA, from 1977 to 1981. He also took coursework in certified project management at Harvard University in 1978 and studied as a graduate student at the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma from 1980 to 1983. After completing his education, he later became the treasurer of the Allison Court Association in Doylestown, PA, in 2003 and its president from 2004 to 2006.
Mr. Haeussler was the treasurer of the Kiwanis Club in 1966, as well as a member of other associations, including the Republican National Committee, the Masons, the American Institute of Certified Planners, and the American Economic Development Council, among others. He was the first planning director in the county of Lebanon, PA, and received a Distinguished Service Award from the University of Pennsylvania in 1967. He is listed in several editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in the World.
