A physician, consultant and writer who has spent more than 45 years in academia, Dr. Lozansky first taught at Moscow State University in 1969. He continued his career at the Military Tank Academy in Moscow for four years before immigrating to the United States. Accepting an opportunity to teach at the University of Rochester in New York in 1977, he has since taught at American University in Washington and National Research Nuclear University back in Moscow. Dr. Lozansky has currently taught at both Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y. since 1981 and Moscow State University since 2011.
The longtime president at Russia House Associates since 1991, Dr. Lozansky has also been the president of the American University of Moscow since 1992. He was also the author of the "Theory of the Spark" in 1976, his first book and one of his proudest works. He has since published a handful of others, including "Foundations of Free Society" in 1998 and "Russia Between China and America" in 2007. Dr. Lozansky's most recent book, which was released in 2017 and titled "Operation Elbe," is currently in negotiations to become a motion picture.
Participating in an annual event on Capitol Hill, the U.S. Congress provides Dr. Lozansky with a room where he brings in American and Russian experts to talk about how we, as citizens, can proceed from confrontation to partnership and, perhaps, alliance in the future. His latest efforts have been speaking engagements about how to avoid World War III. Currently a member of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, Dr. Lozansky is also active with the International Chess Club and runs a non-profit organization in his down time.
Earning a Master of Science at Moscow Institute Physical Engineering Institute and a Doctor of Philosophy from the Institute of Atomic Energy, Dr. Lozansky was later the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Philosophy by Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania and an honorary Doctor of Science from Dubna Nuclear Research University. Likewise, he was cited in more than 35 editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World. Dr. Lozansky has been married to Tatiana I. Yershov since 1971 and has one child.
