Dr. Tewari accrued his expertise for many years, completing residencies and fellowships in surgery, urology and urologic oncology at such institutions as the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College, the Sarjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the University of California, the University of Florida and the Henry Ford Hospital & Medical Center.
A diplomate of the American Board of Urology, Dr. Tewari pursued an education at the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He later continued his studies at the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College with a Master of Science in surgery. Dr. Tewari concluded his academic efforts at the Sarjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, graduating with a Master of Surgery in urology.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Tewari is affiliated with the Society of Urologic Oncology, the International Society of Quality of Life Research, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgery, through which he earned an Achievement Award in 2002, and the Society of Indian Urologists in North America, among many others. Throughout his career, he has contributed his knowledge to a number of creative works, including "Robotics in Urologic Surgery," which was co-authored with Joseph A. Smith Junior. Dr. Tewari has also authored various articles for esteemed journals such as the Journal of Urology and Oncology Operational.
For his excellence in the field, Dr. Tewari has been honored with the Clarke Medal for Surgical Innovation from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has been additionally featured in professional publications, including Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the East.
