With more than 45 years of research experience, Dr. Gregory Gaynor Brown has been recognized as Professor Emeritus of McGill University since 2016.

With more than 45 years of research experience, Dr. Brown has been recognized as Professor Emeritus of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada since 2016. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a professor of biology at McGill University from 1981 to 2016. In addition to his primary roles in teaching and research, Dr. Brown served as Research Director for DNA LandMarks, Inc. an operating unit of BASF Plant Science in Saint Jean-sur-Richelieu, Canada from 2001 to 2004.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Brown pursued an education at the University of Notre Dame, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1970. He concluded his studies at the City University of New York in 1977, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Science. In addition to his primary professional roles in research and teaching, Dr. Brown has been affiliated with various organizations in his community, including the Royal Montreal Curling Club and the Pillars Trust, which is associated with the Archdiocese of Montreal. From 1979 to 1981, he was honored as an NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stony Brook University, and he has served as a Visiting Professor of Genetics at North Carolina State University and as a Visiting Researcher at the Institut National de Recherche Agronomique (INRA) in Versailles, France. Dr. Brown has also been selected for inclusion in the 2016 edition of Who's Who in the World.
