Her works have been featured in one-person shows at the University Club of Cincinnati, Tuomala's Gallery, Vallejo Art League Gallery, Vacaville Art League Gallery, the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque and the Meridian Gallery. She has also appeared in juried shows at the Crocker Museum and the Richmond Art Center Painting Annual. Moreover, she was one of 75 to be accepted of the 12,000 entries with the American Artist Magazine Golden Anniversary National Art Competition and Exhibition.
In addition to her individual exhibitions, Ms. Sweet's work has been included in many group shows, including at Tarbox Gallery, Leon Loard Galleries, the Laughing Bear Gallery, and the Blankley Gallery. She has been included at the Snowgrass Institute, the College of Santa Fe Monothon, Northern Colorado Artist Association Fifth Annual National Exhibition, the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies 21st Annual Best of Show and Traveling Exhibit, and the Moku Hanga Traveling Exhibition, which traveled to Northwest Print Council, the Columbia Arts Center, the Dan Cook Asian Art Center and the Japanese Cultural Society. These are in Washington, Oregon and California. Ms. Sweet has been included at Hand Pulled Prints XI, the Texas and Neighbors Art Competition, the Kyoto International Woodprint Association, the Dartmouth Street Gallery, the Janet Turner Fourth National Print Competition, the Landscape of New Mexico Manitou Galleries, and the New Mexico Printmakers Gallery.
Ms. Sweet began her career as a student at Stanford University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1959 and a Master of Arts in 1960. She is a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the New Mexico Watercolor Society, the Escribiente Calligraphy Society, the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies and the Albuquerque Museum.
Throughout her career, Ms. Sweet has been recognized for her contributions, having been named a Local Treasure by the Albuquerque Art Business Association. The New Mexico Watercolor Society awarded her Second Prize for her 2013 spring exhibit and she has been featured in numerous honors publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who of American Women.
