She worked as a travel agent with AAA of Michigan from 1999 to 2013, and as a manager for Island Traveler from 1975 to 1976. Earlier in her career, Ms. Kohn excelled as a travel agent with Thomas Cook, Inc., from 1973 to 1975 and the American Express Company from 1970 to 1973.
Ms. Kohn began her career as a student at Heidelberg College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. She then enrolled at Eastern Michigan University, completing postgraduate coursework from 1969 to 1970. Ms. Kohn concluded her studies with the Travel Institute in 1979, earning a diploma.
A respected leader in her areas of interest, Ms. Kohn has been active with a number of organizations in her community. A lifetime member of the Travel Institute, she is affiliated with the Chapter AF Wyandotte of P.E.O. Ms. Kohn has additionally dedicated her efforts to the Episcopal Church Women of St. James Episcopal Church.
Throughout her career, Ms. Kohn has been recognized for her accomplishments. She accepted the Alice Award from the St. James Episcopal Church, which later recognized her as Woman of the Year. She was further presented with the Woodward Award for the Choir by the St. James Episcopal Church. Ms. Kohn has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who of American Women, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
