Over the years, he has served in engineering research and executive roles with Brookhaven National Laboratory, Flotherm Consultants Private Limited and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Throughout his career, he has obtained patents for feedwater temperature control methods and systems, as well as a salt filtration system and method of removing radioactive material from gas.
A fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Nuclear Society, Dr. Saha holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Calcutta, and a Master of Mechanical Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. With his outstanding knowledge of the field, he has authored "Nuclear Reactor Thermal Hydraulics: Past, Present and Future," "Applicability of Small-Scale Integral Test Data to the 4500 MWt ESBWR Loss-of-Coolant Accidents" and "Issues and Future Direction of Thermal-Hydraulic Research and Development in Nuclear Power Reactors," along with myriad articles to professional journals.
In his spare time, Dr. Saha makes it a point to serve his community through the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Carolina. For his excellence in the field, he has been honored with the GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Engineering Award in 2016, as well as features in Who's Who in America.
