Here, she oversaw all center activities including planning, conducting workshops, presentations and field trips, and managing the Center's budget and staff. She was also a counselor and academic advisor who provided vocational, academic and personal counseling and taught freshman orientation, among other duties.
From 1973 to 1999, she was a marketing representative/specialist and then a global executive with the Xerox Corporation. Earlier in her career, Ms. Bergmanson was the executive aid to the president of US Building Realty Company in New York City from 1964 to 1973.
Ms. Bergmanson began her career as a student at Baruch College, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1968. She continued her studies with Baruch College, obtaining a Master of Business administration in 1977. After gaining some experience in the field, she returned to her studies at New York University, graduating with a Master of Arts in counseling in 1995. Likewise, Ms. Bergmanson is certified as a notary public and ordained as a minister in the State of New York.
A respected voice in her industry, Ms. Bergmanson has been an active leader in her community. She is a member of the Jung Institute, the National Council for Geographic Research, and the Business & Professional Women's Club of America, for which she served as district director and state president. Additionally, Ms. Bergmanson has excelled as a poll watcher for the state of New York, an exam proctor for the Princeton Testing Center, and a co-op board member for the 300 East 74th Owners Corporation.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bergmanson has been recognized for her achievements. She notably received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Xerox Corporation, and an Outstanding Businesswomen's Award from the Business & Professional Women's Club of America. She is a member of the Sigma Alpha Delta Honor Society. Ms. Bergmanson has been featured in multiple editions of Who's Who of American Women.
