Interested in chemistry ever since receiving his first chemistry set as a child, Mr. Terando embarked upon his professional path with an Associate's degree from LPO Community College in 1959. He continued his studies with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in 1961. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Terando concluded his academic efforts at the University of Illinois, graduating in 1962 with a Master's degree in chemistry.
From 1962 to 1990, Mr. Terando excelled as an assistant senior organic chemist for Eli Lilly & Company. He later worked as a senior research chemist for Dow AgroSciences from 1990 to 2000, at which point he entered retirement. During his time with Dow AgroSciences, Mr. Terando notably garnered expertise on specialty synthesis, labeling organic compounds with Carbon-14.
A patentee in his field, Mr. Terando found success with his written works as well, having contributed numerous articles to multiple publications and scientific journals. Due to his occupational expertise, he is a former member of the American Chemical Society. Mr. Terando is further affiliated with the Central Indiana Woodworkers.
Additionally, Mr. Terando has served as a volunteer at his local food pantry since 2000. He has also maintained involvement in music, and played in the company orchestra while employed at Eli Lilly & Company. Moreover, Mr. Terando was selected for inclusion in the 22nd edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
