In 1982, Ms. Eisenberg was privileged to be co-founder of the Chicago Children's Museum and served as president from 1983 to 1986 and on the board of directors until 2010. She has served on the executive committee and board member of Personal PAC (1992-2002), Jewish Women's Foundation (1997-2002), and JFCS (2002-2010). She has served on many other boards through the years and as of 2018 she is vice-president of Bright Promises Foundation Chicago and board member of Shalva, having served as president from 2013 to 2015.
Of equal importance to Ms. Eisenberg is her commitment and passion to good public education choices and she helped create a movement in the late 1970's which resulted in local city schools becoming excellent choices for parents to send their children. Also, of equal importance is her volunteer and board work for pro-choice advocacy as a clinic escort for six years.
With many years of professional excellence to her credit, Ms. Eisenberg currently works as an independent concierge promoting the exciting city of Chicago, a role she has held since 2005. Having spent many years in the hotel industry, she is most proud of her work as Executive Manager of the Ambassador West Hotel from 1976 to 1985.
Attributing her success over the years to making good choices she says the most important one was her marriage to Jack and to having two fabulous children, Ayr and Amy and step-son Michael. She is incredibly proud of the lives her children are leading and hopes that her grandchildren, Arnica and Harper, and all of Michael's offspring, make great choices with their lives. Over the years, Ms. Eisenberg has travelled the world and studied its many cultures and has cultivated a love of history. She is an avid bridge and scrabble player, theatre-goer, and former tennis player. Looking toward the future, Ms. Eisenberg intends to continue spending time with family and friends, promote her work, and endeavor to make the world a better place for more people.
