Additionally, Ms. Carpenter has found much success through her work with the Inclusive Education and Community Partnership and California State University, Northridge.
A certified behavior analyst, Ms. Carpenter has earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts from California State University, Northridge. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she is affiliated with the California Teachers Association, the California Association of Behavior Analysts, the National Education Association and the Council for Exceptional Children, where she served as president of the Association's California state council until in the early 1990s. With a plethora of knowledge and expertise at her disposal, Ms. Carpenter authored "Parents as Collaborators in Education," as well as a number of articles published in professional journals.
For her excellence in the field, Ms. Carpenter has been recognized as the Woman of the Year by the International Biographical Center. Likewise, she has been presented with a Step Up Award from California Edison, a Kelly Keogh Award from California State University and a grant from the California State University Northridge Foundation.
