Dr. Daniel Harold Smith is now serving his community as a law enforcement chaplain.

Prior to obtaining his current role, he was president of the college from 1975 to 2000 and executive vice president from 1971 to 1975. Earlier in his career, he was dean of education from 1969 to 1971, and he served as a longtime instructor from 1959 to 2014. He is now serving his community as a law enforcement chaplain.
Dr. Smith began his career as a student at Midwest Bible Seminary (now known as Calvary University), where he received a Bachelor of Theology in 1957. He continued his studies with Greenville University, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 1959. He then joined the University of Missouri, where he earned a Master of Education in 1962. After obtaining valuable experience in the field, he returned to his education with Loyola University Chicago, earning a Doctor of Education in 1993.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Dr. Smith has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the National Association of Directors of Christian Education, the Evangelical Training Association, where he has served as chairman since 1974, and Sigma Tau Delta. He has also authored multiple books, including "How to Lead a Child to Christ" in 1987 and "God's Blueprint for Your Marriage" in 1989, and has served as a representative of the conference ministry at Emmaus Bible College since 1959.
Throughout his career, Dr. Smith has been recognized for his achievements. He has received awards and accolades for his contributions and accomplishments. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the 69th edition of Who's Who in America, the third edition of Who's Who in American Education and the fourth edition of Who's Who in Religion.
