Dr. Jeffrey Linsky was designated as an emeritus research professor in the department of astrophysical, planetary and atmospheric sciences at the University of Colorado.

Earlier in his career, he excelled through other positions at the University of Colorado, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology as well. Over the years, Dr. Linsky has found success through his work with the International Ultraviolet Explorer and Far Ultraviolet Spectrograph Explorer satellites, the Hubble Space Telescope, the National Science Foundation and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
An expert in his field, Dr. Linsky initially earned a Bachelor of Science in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He later concluded his studies with a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in astronomy from Harvard University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Linsky is affiliated with the American Astronomical Society and the International Astronomical Union.
With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Linsky has authored a plethora of articles for professional journals, as well as the book, "Host Stars and Effects on Exoplanet Atmospheres," which will be published 2019. For his excellence in the field, he has been presented with the Goddard Exceptional Achievement Award from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He has been additionally featured in Who's Who in America. Looking toward the future, Dr. Linsky intends to continue parlaying his knowledge to others through his role as professor emeritus.
