Prior to obtaining his current role, he was a visiting scientist at Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory in Menlo Park, CA, from 1993 to 1997 and a senior analyst at XonTech Inc., in Van Nuys, CA, from 1991 to 1993. Earlier in his career, Dr. Cremer was on the technology staff at TRW, Inc., from 1989 to 1991 and a research associate at the Institute for Theoretical Science at the University of Oregon from 1987 to 1989.
Dr. Cremer began his career as a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1976. He then joined the University of Maryland, earning a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering in 1979 and 1984, respectively. He subsequently completed postdoctoral studies in biophysics with the University of California, San Francisco, in 1986. Dr. Cremer is certified in series 7 and 63 through the National Association of Securities Dealers.
A respected voice in his industry, Dr. Cremer has been active with a number of professional organizations. A board member of the Science Foundation for Public Policy, he holds patents for x-ray and neutron optics and sources. He has written four books in relation to his areas of interest, and he has contributed numerous scientific articles to professional journals. Among the highlights of his career, he considers his work in artificial skin, laser-produced plasmas, collective ion acceleration, nuclear fusion, cellular electroporation and electrofusion, earth-orbit systems, nonlinear and holographic optics, scientific computing and simulation, X-ray lasers, X-ray refractive and mirror optics, wiggler and undulator X-ray sources, neutron refractive optics, radiation imaging and detection, radiation shielding, X-ray microscopy, neutron microscopy, the Hot Ozone Process, and his books and peer-reviewed journal publications to have been crowning achievements.
