A longtime creative dance educator, Ms. Sacchetti has worked with children, ranging from infants to sixth graders. She has excelled as a creative dance teacher at multiple pre-schools and elementary schools throughout her career, including the Jamestown Elementary School-Melrose in Jamestown, R.I., the Windswept Montessori School in Wakefield, R.I. and the Rocky Hill School in East Greenwich, R.I. Furthermore, Ms. Sacchetti typically taught in approximately four different schools throughout Rhode Island simultaneously between 1998 and 2010.
Recently, Ms. Sacchetti established Adagio Stretch, www.KarenSacchetti.com, in Boca Raton, Fla. in 2016. Designing her own unique program for adults, she implements the foundations of dance through a therapeutic approach to help clients avoid injuries commonly associated with exercise. Based on the award-winning BrainDance, which provides the structure to optimize brain and body functioning, participants move to a new level of health through easy-to-follow, smooth, and flowing body-brain moves. Adagio Stretch offers numerous health benefits, such as increased flexibility, straightening of posture and alignment and removing stress and pain. Successfully participating in the art of BrainDance to help her heal from vertigo, Ms. Sacchetti's fourteen days of training not only worked, but led her to pay it forward to others in need through the Adagio method.
Earlier in her college years, Ms. Sacchetti had authored a poem in a book of poetry called "Passage" in 1983. She later collaborated in a collection of short stories called "Once Upon an Archetype" in 1996. Her new book, a memoir entitled, "Unconditional Love: A True Love Story," is due out soon. In the early to mid-1990s, she acted and danced at the Riverside Theater in Boston. She later performed as an actress, singer and dancer for the South County Center for the Arts in Rhode Island during 2003 and 2005. A member of the ACLJ, American Center for Law and Justice, Open Doors, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and Christ Fellowship, Ms. Sacchetti has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women since 2002.
Born in Philadelphia, Ms. Sacchetti pursued an education at both the Pennsylvania State University and Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., earning her Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Dance and Education from the latter in 1998. She completed further dance education training with a focus on creative dance and the BrainDance at the Creative Dance Center in Seattle in 2006. She additionally studied various genres of dance training throughout her life. She is notably certified in Creative Kids Yoga® Teacher Training, holding a Level III Advanced Certification since 2006. Moreover, Ms. Sacchetti acquired certification in Incredible Years: Early Childhood Development Teacher Training in 2008.
