Christian Raymond Esquevin was honored with the Jewel in Our Crown Award from the Coronado Historical Association.
CORONADO, CA, April 03, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Christian Raymond Esquevin with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Esquevin celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After accruing 40 years of professional excellence, Mr. Esquevin retired from his role as director of library services at the Coronado Public Library. Earlier in his career, he worked for the San Diego County Library in a variety of positions, including reference librarian, regional reference librarian, regional center director and community libraries director. Over the years, he also gained valuable knowledge through his work with Serra Cooperative Library System in San Diego. In a career filled with highlights, he is especially proud of the biography he wrote on Gilbert Adrian, a fashion and costume designer from the 1930s; it was titled "Adrian: Silver Screen to Custom Label." Mr. Esquevin's great aunt worked in Hollywood during that time and served as an inspiration to write the book.
An expert in his field, Mr. Esquevin holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University in Los Angeles and a Master of Science in library science from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In order to stay abreast of developments in the field, he affiliates himself with the American Library Association, the Library Leadership & Management Association, the California Library Association and the Public Library Association. He involved community members in planning for the Coronado Library's centennial in 1990, a year-long celebration of events. During his spare time he serves as a Board Member of the Coronado Island Film Festival. For his professional achievements, he was honored with the Jewel in Our Crown Award from the Coronado Historical Association, a Citizen of the Year Award from the Coronado Private Bank, and features in two editions of Who's Who in the West. In the coming years, Mr. Esquevin intends to continue enjoying his retirement.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mr. Esquevin has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
