Prior to obtaining these roles, she was the longtime director of choral publications for Alfred Music Publishing in California, from 1989 to 2013 and for Shawnee Press Inc. in Pennsylvania from 1981 to 1989. Earlier in her career, Ms. Albrecht was a visiting instructor at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, from 1979 to 1981.
Ms. Albrecht began her career as a student at Rollins College in Orlando, Florida, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1976. Following this accomplishment, she continued her studies at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where she earned a Master of Arts in 1977 and a Master of Music in 1979. In an effort to remain up to date with developments in her field, Ms. Albrecht maintains affiliation with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education.
Throughout her career, Ms. Albrecht has been recognized for her contributions. She received a Pillar of Leadership Award from Omicron Delta Kappa in 2014 and was named one of the Outstanding Young Women of America by the National Leadership Society in 1982. In light of all her accomplishments, Ms. Albrecht has previously been featured in Who's Who in Entertainment.
