Gordon Warner Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Warner initially earned a Bachelor of Science, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska in 1959. After working as an engineer and trainee at the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, he advanced to construction manager for the Central United States, construction project engineer for the St. Louis Arch, plant manager in Clive, IA, division manager in the Southeast United States, and director and general manager of worldwide construction for Pittsburgh. He has also served as an instructor for several safety courses. Currently, he is retired.

Interested in building things from a young age, Mr. Warner has notably assisted in the construction of numerous buildings, including the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, for which he was construction project engineer. He belongs to such organizations as the American Society of Civil Engineers, the University of Nebraska Alumni Association, the National Association of Construction Boilermaker Employers and the National Tank Division Employer's Association. Mr. Warner also maintains memberships with several academic organizations, such as Delta Upsilon, Chi Epsilon and Pi Mu Epsilon, and local associations.

In addition to his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Warner served with the United States Army in 1959. He has also volunteered his services as a Sunday school teacher at churches in Pittsburgh, Birmingham and Des Moines, and he has served as an elder with his local branch of the Boy Scouts of America. In light of his occupational contributions, Mr. Warner was honored in the 21st and 22nd editions of Who's Who in the East.
