Over the last four decades, Mrs. Sarah Gunning Moser has immersed herself in every opportunity that has come her way.
LONG BEACH, WA, April 23, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Sarah Gunning Moser with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mrs. Moser celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her fields. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.
If Mrs. Moser were to use one word to describe her career, it would be "multi-faceted". Over the last four decades, she has immersed herself in every opportunity that has come her way, leading her to gain valuable experience in aerospace, teaching, writing, and production. Inspired by her father, who was an engineer and executive at Boeing, Mrs. Moser began her career at the same company in 1980, working as a manufacturing engineer in its 747/767 commercial division for two and a half years until she accepted a similar position with McDonnell-Douglas Helicopters on the Apache AH64-A military program. She later became a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at the same company.
Following over seven successful years in the aerospace industry, Mrs. Moser felt compelled to move into a role in private education that allowed her to also moonlight as a theatrical dresser and costume assistant in professional theater in the Seattle area. Her noteworthy posts in education included teaching classical English and history for grades 3 through 12 at Choice Learning Center, becoming a private and online tutor for Family Education Services and Lighthouse for Literacy, LLC, and an Endorsed Spell to Write and Read Trainer and seminar leader where she has led teacher trainings in six Western states and is also responsible for Wyoming. Likewise, Mrs. Moser wrote and delivered the "Give Your Kids a Literacy Toolkit, Even if You Never Got One" workshop, "Wisely Choosing Words" presentations at writing and homeschooling conferences, and "All the World's a Stage: A Dresser's Life Backstage" student education workshop.
Moreover, Mrs. Moser found success as the co-owner of Moser Design Associates, Northwest Publishing and Office Services, and sole owner of Family Education Services and Ligthouse for Literacy, LLC, as well as her independent role as theatrical dresser for productions in Seattle, Tacoma, Issaquah, Olympia, and North Carolina, crew member for the indie film "Dusty's August", and business manager for the late opera singer Patricia S. Lott. Notably, she published an essay titled "Understanding Manna" in an inspirational anthology, A New Song, published in 2012, "Take a Mental Vacation, Parts I and II" and author interviews in the Northwest Christian Writers Association Newsletter in 2011-2013, and "Children Who Are Readers" and other blog articles. Her speech "Unexpected Opportunities" is her signature piece.
Moreover, Mrs. Moser has both fiction and nonfiction projects in work and is affiliated with Sisters in Crime mystery writer's organization, Romance Writers of America, the Guppies Chapter of Sisters in Crime, Northwest Christian Writers Association, American Christian Fiction Writers, the Theatrical Wardrobe Union Local 887, IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists & Allied Crafts), MENSA, the Washington Homeschool Organization, and Toastmasters International. Outside of her professional work, Mrs. Moser is active in her religious community, leading multi-state and multi-national prayer teams for artists, civic leaders, pastors, and writers. She is past Washington State Coordinator of the Adopt-a-Leader and Adopt-a-Pastor programs and has taught and spoken at conferences throughout Washington State, Oregon, and Colorado.
In the past, Mrs. Moser was community outreach speaker for the Alcoholism Public Information Committee, Women's Center Coordinator for The Evergreen State College, and radio producer-announcer, volunteer trainer, and member of the board of directors for KAOS-FM radio station in Olympia, Washington.
Reflecting back, she is proud of the many opportunities resulting from her outstanding and varied career, many of which were unexpected. Mrs. Moser's advice to up-and-coming professionals in any field is simple: learn to be open to whatever comes your way, stay positive and honest, and work to make others' lives better.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mrs. Moser has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
