An accountant with more than 40 years of experience, he first worked as a manager of accounting for Hunter Douglas, Inc., in Totowa, NJ, in 1976. He has since served in various capacities for Transo Envelope Company, Orange Products, Inc., and TransTechnology Corporation before serving as chief financial officer for the Truarc Company LLC in Millburn, NJ, in 2002.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ferris has maintained membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Executives International and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, he has been active as a member of the financial board of his community church. Mr. Ferris has notably been cited in the 31st edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
While in college, Mr. Ferris majored in both psychology and economics, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College in 1975. He then started on the MBA program at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, completing the program just 14 months later in 1976. He is a certified public accountant in the state of New Jersey.
Married to his wife Nancy for many years, Mr. Ferris is the father of two children and is a recent grandfather. In his free time, he loves to stay active by playing tennis, jogging and skiing.
