Prior to this prestigious appointment, he completed residencies with Mount Sinai Beth Israel, New York Downtown Hospital (formerly known as Beekman Downtown Hospital), Jacobi Medical Center (formerly known as Bronx Municipal Hospital Center) and Mount Sinai Health System between 1962 and 1968. At the inception of his career, he served as an intern with Mount Sinai Beth Israel from 1961 to 1962.
Other professional endeavors to his credit include contributing as an associate attending surgeon for Mount Sinai Beth Israel since 1968. Simultaneously, he has served as an attending surgeon with New York Downtown Hospital since 1968, having previously served as the director of asthetic surgery. In the past, he worked as an assistant attending surgeon for Mount Sinai Health System and an assistant clinical professor for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. At present, he is an attending surgeon (plastic) at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery (Plastic) at Weill Cornell Medical College.
In preparation for his exceptional career, Dr. Rosenberg sought a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 1957. Soon thereafter, he graduated from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University with a Doctor of Medicine in 1961. Civically, Dr. Rosenberg is a former United States Navy commander, having served from 1968 to 1970, being Chief of the Plastic Surgery Division at St. Albans Naval Hospital.
To remain abreast of developments within the medical field, Dr. Rosenberg is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (inactive) and the New York Academy of Medicine.
