Additionally, he is affiliated with Northwest Financial as a wealth advisor— a position he has held since 2003. In 2001 and 2002, Mr. Christy was senior vice president of Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, and he served eight years with Air Products and Chemicals Inc. in Washington as Washington Counsel and Director of Federal Relations, beginning in 1985. He previously served as legislative counsel for the U.S. Department of the Interior and counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives on the Committee on Energy and Commerce. Earlier, Mr. Christy was a private practice attorney in Milford, Ohio, and a legislative and administrative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives beginning in 1973.
Mr. Christy is an alumnus of the University of Cincinnati, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a JD in 1969 and 1972, respectively. He is also a former military serviceman, having held the post of captain in the U.S. Army Reserve.
In 1980, Mr. Christy was a candidate for the 6th Congressional District in Ohio. He is a former public affairs steering committee member of the National Association of Manufacturers and a founding member of the Ohio Forum. Additionally, he has been with the Business-Government Relations Council, the University of Cincinnati College of Law Alumni Association, and the board of visitors of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Civically, Mr. Christy is a former Chairman of the Bryce Harlow Foundation, and he formerly served on the board of directors of the U.S. Capitol Historical Society.
