With nearly 40 years of practice experience to his credit, Dr. Langdon has been serving as an associate clinical professor of dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine since 2004. Alongside this appointment, he has been serving in private practice in Guilford, CT, since 2001. Prior to these positions, he was an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine from 1993 to 2004 and in various private practices in the states of Connecticut and California. Earlier in his career, he started as an attending physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital from 1984 to 1990, a position he has also held since 1993.
Dr. Langdon has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Journal of Clinical Investigation; he has also served as an associate editor of the Dermatology Online Journal. At the inception of his career, he interned at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR, completed a fellowship in dermatology at the Yale University School of Medicine, and completed a residency in dermatology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. In addition to his research publications, Dr. Langdon has been the primary author of ten chapters in surgical and medical books as well as an associate author of two additional book chapters. He has also written a book for patients: "Understanding Cosmetic Laser Surgery" (University Press of Mississippi, 2004).
A diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Langdon holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oregon. To remain abreast of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Liposuction Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
