Mr. Rogers, a retired chief executive officer who also served many years in the military, was first commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1964, advancing to major general in 1989. Fully retiring from the military in 1993, during his years of service he served in a number of roles, including combat fighter pilot in the 355th Tactical Fighter Wing in Takhli, Thailand, personnel officer on the Air Staff in the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and wing commander for the 5th Bomb Wing in North Dakota and the 96th Bomb Wing, the first operational B-1B bomber wing in the Air Force, in Texas, international officer in NATO in Belgium and on the Joint Staff responsible for Operational Plans and Interoperability. Upon exiting the military, Mr. Rogers moved to the commercial sector over the next near two decades. He worked for several other successful organizations, including American Management Systems, Inc., CACI International, a professional services and information technology company headquartered in Virginia, and served as CEO of Command Information, Inc., an information technology service management company in Virginia.
He was a member of the Board of Advisors of Sunlight Aerospace, Inc. and Director of DCS Corp Inc. He formerly served in the same capacity for Glimmerglass Networks, Inc., GeoTree Technologies, Inc., and XEDAR, Inc. Mr. Rogers also served as a member of the advisory board for Our Military Kids and was affiliated with Active Angel Investors in Vienna, VA.
Mr. Rogers is a former director on the board of directors of the U.S. Air Force Academy Association of Graduates. He is a longtime member of the National Association of Corporate Directors as a Leadership Fellow, the National Eagle Scout Association, the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, the USAFA Sabre Society and the Air Force Association.
Involved in his local community, Mr. Rogers has been actively serving as the chair of the Downtown Boulder Partnership Board, Director of the Downtown Boulder Foundation, Trustee of Falcon Foundation and was a military adviser for the Chamber of Commerce of Minot, ND, and Abilene, TX.
Mr. Rogers received numerous awards for his service in the U.S. Air Force including a Defense Distinguished Service Medal, three Distinguished Flying Crosses and a Purple Heart. In 2000, he was honored with an American University Leadership Award, followed by a Downtown Boulder Community Service Award in 2016. He has notably been cited in every edition of Who's Who in America since 1992, every edition of Who's Who in the South and Southwest between 2001 and 2015, as well as the 43rd edition of Who's Who in the West in 2016. Of all his achievements, however, Mr. Rogers noted his family as his biggest success. Married to his wife Linda Rae Peterson, PhD. since 1966, they share three children and eight grandchildren. Their eldest daughter works for KPMG, their second daughter works for Workday and their son is an investor and owns his own business. Enjoying his retirement with his family, Mr. Rogers loves to stay active by skiing and hiking. He also loves to travel.
Mr. Rogers holds a Bachelor of Science in military science from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from Harvard Business School, and a diploma, with distinction, from the Air War College.
