A celebrated sales professional of more than 40 years, Mr. Bauer established his own successful business, Ray Bauer Associates, in Haddonfield, New Jersey, in 1975, which he ran for 25 wonderful years before retiring in 2000. His tenure in the field also included working as a division manager for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the Mid-Atlantic manager for the United States Envelope Company in Springfield, Massachusetts, and a division sales manager for Eastern Tablet Corporation in Albany, New York. Mr. Bauer notably served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a staff sergeant and in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary as an officer.
One of the most influential times in Mr. Bauer's career was while employed with the United States Envelope Company. Hired in 1968, he spent six years with the organization where he earned the opportunity to mentor and train many employees. Watching these employees grow, evolve and succeed was extremely gratifying for Mr. Bauer.
Mr. Bauer pursued an education at Monmouth College, now known as Monmouth University, where he acquired an Associate of Arts in 1955, was awarded membership in Lambda Sigma Tau, the college honor society, and played college baseball. He also had a tryout with the New York Yankees in Yankee Stadium under Yankee scout Paul Krichell. Mr. Bauer later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami, where he was a member of the UMSKI Water Ski Team and the pledge class president of Lambda Chi Alpha National Social Fraternity; his pledge class laid the cornerstone for their new house.
Maintaining affiliation with several industry-related organizations, Mr. Bauer is a member of the American Management Association, the International Platform Association and the School and Home Office Products Association. He is also active with multiple different local entities, such as Friends of Haddonfield Library, the Haddonfield Civic Association and the Smithsonian Association. Due to his military involvement, Mr. Bauer is a respected member of The American Legion.
In light of his exceptional accomplishments, Mr. Bauer has been presented with a number of honors throughout his career. Notably, he has been the recipient of a Camden County Military Service Award for Honorable Service. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Bauer has been featured in close to 70 editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.
