The current property manager of Rancho Cabeza, Ms. Gard celebrates a varied and noteworthy career that spans more than 50 years. As a young adult, wanderlust drew her to leave home and join the U.S. Navy in a civilian capacity, serving in a variety of positions from 1953 to 1957. Following her departure from the service, she studied accounting and business management at Santa Rosa Junior College until 1960, whereupon she excelled as an office manager for Anchorage Drug Supply between 1963 and 1967. Ms. Gard subsequently became assistant operations manager of data processing for Sonoma County, lending her expertise there until 1995. During this time, she established a computer business in Santa Rosa, Chips & Bits Micros, and was active as a consultant until 2001.
Holding a degree from the System Science Institute, Ms. Gard maintains involvement with the National Association Female Executives, the Data Processing Management Association, and the American Management Association. She holds a leadership role with the Western Manufactured Housing Communities Association as president of the Wine Country chapter.
