At the beginning of his career, he served the State University of New York's Nuclear Accelerator Laboratory as a visiting research scientist. Following this appointment, he excelled as an instructor at McGill University. Over the years, Dr. Dewanjee found much success through varying roles with Sir A.T. Government College, Amherst College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
Certified in nuclear medicine, Dr. Dewanjee earned a Bachelor of Science from Comilla Victoria Government College, a Master of Science from Dhaka University and a Doctor of Philosophy from McGill University. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a plethora of creative works, including "Procedure Manual Radiopharmacy," "Radioiodination" and "Cell Labeling, Experience and Clinical Applications." Although his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Dewanjee is especially proud of obtaining patents for a calcifying tissue valve and a vharge-neutral MRI-positive contrast agent, Gd-MPO for cell-tagging and tracking in vivo.
For his amazing accomplishments, Dr. Dewanjee was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Bangladesh, the Shannon Award from the National Institutes of Health and a scholarship through the National Research Council. Likewise, he has been featured in Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Looking toward the future, Dr. Dewanjee intends to continue cementing his legacy within the field.
