Celebrating more than 30 years in nursing, Ms. Detillion is now semi-retired and has worked part-time as a private care legal nurse and consultant since 1992. In previous years, she was a supervisor at the Heartland of Bucyrus, a retirement community located in Bucyrus, Ohio. Specializing in medical/surgical nursing, pediatrics and geriatrics, Ms. Detillion also held nursing positions at Crestline Memorial Hospital in Crestline, Ohio, Mansfield Personnel Pool in Mansfield, Ohio, and Oakwood Manor in Bucyrus.
Ms. Detillion is an alumnus of Northcentral Technical College, where she became a licensed practical nurse in 1985 and later received an Associate of Science in Nursing with honors in 1990. She is a certified legal nurse consultant.
During her career, Ms. Detillion served as secretary and treasurer of the National Association for Practical Nurse Education and Service, Inc. Active locally, she has lent her time as a fundraising volunteer with the Women of the Moose, the female auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Moose. She has also volunteered with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Detillion has been featured in the third edition of Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals, the fourth and fifth editions of Who's Who in American Nursing and the 24th edition of Who's Who in the Midwest.
Born and raised in Bucyrus, where she still resides today, Ms. Detillion was married to the late Gary Lee Detillion for 35 years. She has two children and four grandchildren.
