Having accrued more than 50 years of experience in the field, Dr. Haynes continues to serve as a consultant in the field of psychology. He previously excelled in the position of the chairman of the department of psychology at North Texas State University from 1981 to 1989, which he considers to be the highlight of his career. Prior to becoming the chair of the department, he worked at the university from the posts of an assistant professor from 1964 to 1967 to that of an associate professor from 1967 to 1974 and a professor from 1974 to 1981.
Prior to his professional journey, Dr. Haynes enrolled at North Texas State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1957. He earned a Master of Arts from the aforementioned university in 1958. Pursuing further studies at Texas Christian University, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in 1964 and became licensed and certified as a psychologist. He afterwards returned to his alma mater, North Texas State University, and became a valuable, long-term faculty member.
Notably, Dr. Haynes has contributed articles to professional journals in his field. In addition, he is an active member of the American Psychological Association, the International Neuropsychological Association, the American Educational Research Association, the Southwestern Psychological Association, and the Texas Psychological Association. Additionally, Dr. Haynes was selected for inclusion in the third edition of Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals and multiple editions of Who's Who in America.
