Backed by decades of practiced experience in his field, Mr. Saimbert currently serves as a Systems and Projects Specialist with the University of Scranton. Additionally, he works as an Adjunct Professor of political science and college success at Northampton Community College, an Adjunct Professor of political science at Middlesex County College, an Adjunct Professor of history at William Paterson University of New Jersey and Essex County College, and a Lecturer of history and political science at Marywood University. During the course of his daily routine, he implements curricular constructs for changes to graduate and undergraduate programs, performs grade roll, verifies degrees for graduate and undergraduate students, and assists with graduation clearances before the big day. Earlier in his career, Mr. Saimbert found success with Prudential Financial and Citigroup before beginning in academia with Berkeley College.
An expert in his field, Mr. Saimbert earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history with honors and a Master of Arts in political science with Pi Sigma Alpha initiation from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and a diploma in network engineering and data communications from The Chubb Institute. In 2020, he will graduate with an MBA in operations management and enterprise resource planning from the University of Scranton as well. During his spare time, Mr. Saimbert contributes to his community through the staff university review board of the University of Scranton, ministry at The Church of Saint Luke and is an active participant in United States Bowling Congress leagues, where he has also excelled. John Michael Mayrick Saimbert is a 3 time Most Improved Bowler of the Year, who recently won that honor for the 2018-2019 season.
With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Mr. Saimbert presented "Origins of FERPA and Its Relevance to Contemporary Issues in Privacy" and "Aftermath of the 2009 Governor's Race: Implications on NJ's Future" and authored "The Black Student Protest Movement at Rutgers-Newark. (1968-1969): The Liberation of Conklin Hall and Its Implications for Today." For his professional excellence, he has been celebrated many times, accepting the Berkeley College Years of Service Award and recognition from Academic Keys Who's Who in Community Colleges Higher Education. Looking toward the future, Mr. Saimbert intends to be an innovator and remain an active contributor in higher education while serving the community.
