Mr. Aaland has excelled as the director of operations and engineering and VP-General Manager for DirecTV Latin America from 1996 until retirement 2003.
Previously, Mr. Aaland holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and real estate from the University of Colorado, which he earned in 1977. Prior to embarking on his professional path, he completed four years of service in the United States Air Force. Furthermore, Mr. Aaland has been licensed by the FCC and certified as a lifetime Professional Engineer by the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Aaland is affiliated with the Society of Television Engineers, the Society of Broadcast Engineers and the Society of Motion Picture & TV Engineers. For his professional accomplishments, he has been honored many times, earning a feature in the first edition of Who's Who in the Media and Communication.
