Owner of Copplestone Artworks in Wellesley since 1975, he was also an independent home improvement contractor for 25 years. Previously, he served as the owner of a landscape design business from 1967 to 1973. Alongside his primary responsibilities, Mr. Copplestone has been the owner of Copplestone LLC since 2011 the owner of CopplestoneGames.com since 2002 GourmetGames.com in 1998 and was a graphic designer for Fun-N-Safe Inc, in 1991.
Prior to becoming an esteemed artist, Mr. Copplestone pursued higher education with a diploma from the Art Institute of Boston in 1975. During his time with the institute, he was notably mentored by Jason Berger, one of his most inspiring teachers. He has designed and invented a number of games, including The Orbiter, ESP, Copplestone's Putting Rail. MACHZ, Shoebops, Lots, Stackm, Peggotty and Dots, among others. Mr. Copplestone considers the highlight of his career to be the creation, development, and sharing of his portable ring toss/ball toss game Orbiter.
An accomplished artist as well, Mr. Copplestone has completed a diverse collection of artwork comprised of oil paintings, designs and games, exhibiting a lifetime of creativity, innovation, and learning. He characterizes his painting style as fairly representational with an emphasis on the free choice of color. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he remains informed of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations, such as the Cambridge Art Association, the Copley Society of Art and the Italo American Educational Club of Wellesley. Happily married to his wife, Margaret Carrol since 1996, Mr. Copplestone is the proud father of two children and enjoys golf, tennis, windsurfing, classic films and billiards in his free time.
