At the start of his career, he joined the Metropolitan Church Board, Syracuse, NY as an associate. Over the years, he gained valuable expertise through missionary and pastoral work with First Presbyterian Church, the United Presbyterian Church, Cortland, NY, the Ogden Presbyterian Church, the Downtown United Presbyterian Church and the Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Additionally, he lent his considerable knowledge to a number of other entities, including Nazareth College, the National Council of Churches of Christ, the Middle East Council of Churches, the Greater Rochester Community of Churches and the American Friends of Neve Shalom Wahat al-Salam.
An expert in his field, Mr. Webster holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and a Master of Divinity of the Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Between degrees, he pursued postgraduate studies through School of Divinity, St. Mary's College at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. In order to stay abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Webster affiliated himself with the Witherspoon Society, the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship, and the Interfaith Forum of Greater Rochester.
During his spare time, Mr. Webster gives back to his community through the David Gordon Webster Memorial Trust in the role of president. For his excellence in the field, he won grants from both the George Gund Foundation and the Joan and Harold Feinbloom Supporting Foundation. Looking ahead, Mr. Webster intends to continue serving as chaplain with Rochester Presbyterian Home.
