Editing the Resource Recovery Report newsletter was the highlight of his career, as it covered widespread environmental issues
EAST ORANGE, NJ, August 21, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Frank McManus with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. McManus celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With a career spanning almost 60 years to his credit, Mr. McManus is currently retired, having established the Resource Recovery Report, a monthly newsletter for which he held the posts of the editor and the publisher from 1976 to 1999. Within the same timeframe, he found success as the executive director at the American Paper Machinery Association. Between 1964 and 1976, he served as the director of public affairs at the Can Manufacturers Institute, the director of public affairs at the Glass Packaging Institute, a special assistant to the deputy assistant secretary of product standards at the National Institutes of Standards and Technology, and as a research director at the Metropolitan Washington Board of Trade. Mr. McManus began his professional career in 1961, when he worked as a financial analyst at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Prior to his professional journey, Mr. McManus began his studies at Georgetown University, graduating from the School of Foreign Service with a Bachelor of Science in 1959. He subsequently pursued an MBA at George Washington University, completing it in 1962. Before his academic efforts, Mr. McManus served in Korea with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1955.
An asset to his field, Mr. McManus became involved in his profession because he recognized a need for private and public entities to write and release their interests to the public. During his employment at the American Paper Machinery Association, he established international contacts with paper manufacturers in Sweden and Finland, among other countries. Editing the Resource Recovery Report newsletter was the highlight of his career, as it covered widespread environmental issues like energy conservation and recycling before they became large scale issues to be discussed internationally.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mr. McManus has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
