With 50 years of professional experience, Dr. Grosser has been the President and a management and technology consultant with MG Consulting since 1967. His clients include many premier U.S. venture capital firms and Fortune 100 companies.
He was a general partner and managing director of L. H. Alton and Company from 1984 to 1987, Director of Publication of the Boeing Scientific Research Laboratories from 1964 to 1966, and head of design for Clevite Transistor Products 1956-1957.
He began his professional career as a design engineer at Raytheon Corporation from 1955 to 1956.
Dr. Grosser received a Bachelor of Science with a thesis in physical optics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953, an M.S. in fiber mechanics from M.I.T. in 1954, and was a research fellow in bioengineering there from 1954 to 1955. He received a Ph.D. in History of Science/Astrophysics from Stanford University in 1961, and was a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow at UCLA Medical Center in 1962-1963.
During his career Dr. Grosser was awarded the Coats & Clark Graduate Fellowship at M.I.T., and a Ford Foundation Fellowship and a Stanford Teaching Fellowship at Stanford University. In 1963 he won a national competition for the Stegner Creative Writing Fellowship at Stanford and was a fellow in 1963-64. His third novel, The Fabulous Fifty, won the Commonwealth Club Medal for Literary Excellence.
