Serving as a first lieutenant in the Navy, he subsequently found success in neuro-psychiatry and executive roles through the Dorchester MH Center, the Massachusetts General Hospital, the McLean Hospital and the Cambridge Hospital. Having taught at both Tufts University and Harvard University, Dr. Dahlben is especially proud of completing his intensive surgical internship at Mount Sinai Hospital, as it was an integral part of his medical training and becoming American Board Diplomate.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in to the Dahab family Dr.Dahlben immigrated to the United States. An expert in his field, Dr. Dahlben has earned a Bachelor of Science from Hebrew-Brazilian College and a Doctor of Medicine from Federal University in Rio de Janeiro. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he is associated with the New York Academy of Sciences, the Best in Medicine with the American Health Council, Sigma Xi (MIT Chapter) and the Boston Society of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry. Dr. Dahlben contributes to Harvard Medical School's David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies enjoys reading, traveling, chess and swimming.
For his professional accomplishments, Dr. Dahlben has been celebrated with the Abbey Norman Prince Award from Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in 1981, a North Suffolk Award in 2012 and recognition among America's Top Psychiatrists in Neuropsychiatry by the Consumers Research Council of America on a number of occasions.
