Dr. Gayatri Keskar excels as the head of research for Material ConneXion
WHITE PLAINS, NY, August 26, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Gayatri Keskar has been included in Marquis Who's Who. An acclaimed research scientist, Dr. Keskar excels as the head of research for Material ConneXion, where she has additionally garnered a laudable reputation as a senior materials scientist and materials manager, as well as a technical advisor of carbon nanotubes and nanocomposites for Enhanced Nano Composites, Inc. Previously, she worked as a development scientist in research and innovation for Innova Dynamics from 2013 to 2015, prior to which she was a materials characterization associate for Yale University between 2009 and 2013. Dr. Keskar also served as a scientist at the Illuminex Corporation during 2009, and a graduate research assistant of carbon nanotubes at Clemson University from 2003 until 2008. She began her career as a research assistant in polymer nanocomposites for National Chemical Laboratory, where she was active from 2002 to 2003. Dr. Keskar has achieved much throughout her career, obtaining patents for processes in preparing carbon nanostructures with tailored properties and products utilizing non-linear electrical actuation and detection, as well as the creation of nanostructures.
Before taking on her inaugural position, Dr. Keskar received a Bachelor of Engineering in metallurgy engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune. Subsequently studying at Clemson University, she earned a Master of Science in 2004 and a Doctor of Philosophy in materials science and engineering in 2008. To remain aware of changes in the field, she maintains a close association with such pertinent organizations as the Materials Research Society and the American Chemical Society. She has been recognized many times for her outstanding work, earning a Special Prize from the Indian Institute of Technology and a trophy from ASM International in 2001.
Dr. Keskar attributes her success on her family, many of whom are also engineers, including her father, her brother, and several cousins. With their support, she was eager to take on the mantle of an engineer in her own right. Looking towards the future, she hopes to continue her research, and become a manager so that she can run her own team.
