He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1996 and served as the litigation attorney at Michael Doran & Associates from 1996 to 2002. He is admitted to multiple federal district courts, multiple federal circuit courts of appeals, and was admitted to the United States Supreme Court in 2006. In light of his outstanding achievements, Dr. Goldstein has received many recognitions including being named to the Top Trial Lawyers in the United States in 2008. the Best Lawyers in America from 2009 to 2010, the Best Lawyers in New York from 2009 to 2010, and Super Lawyers in 2018. Dr. Goldstein previously excelled in medicine as a physician at the New York Methodist Hospital from 1981 to 1986, Hadassah University Medical Center from 1988 to 1991, and Tygerburg Hospital in 1992; holding teaching positions at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Jerusalem, Israel and the University of Stellenbosch in Capetown, South Africa. While practicing medicine, Dr. Goldstein was named a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and was Board Certified from 1991 to 2002.
Dr. Goldstein is active in the community having served on the health law committee of the Erie County Bar Association from 1996 to 2006, the executive board of the Woman's Law Center from 1995 to 1997, and the board of directors of Temple Sinai from 2005 to 2010. He co¬founded and served as adult leader of Boy Scout Troop 156 in Buffalo, New York and was honored with the Scout Leaders Award and the Community Service Award by the Boy Scouts of America as well as the Shofar Award by the National Jewish Community on Scouting.
