Dr. Wojciechowski was educated mostly in Bydgoszcz, Solec Kujawski, Otwock and Warsaw, the Mikolaj Rej Lycee in Warsaw and the High School Diploma Examinations in 1954.

He initially pursued education with Warsaw Agricultural University-SGGW (called in XXI century: Warsaw University of Life Sciences-SGGW) where he obtained the degree of Veterinary Surgeon (Veterinarian) in 1961. He completed PhD (Doctoral) Studies from 1963 to 1967 in the Chair of Epizootiology, Veterinary Faculty (Head: Prof. Abdon Stryszak) with a title of Doctor of Veterinary Sciences in 1967 (subject: control of anti-rabies vaccine). He continued his academic efforts doing research at the FAO Fellowship in the UK in the Institutes in Weybridge, Compton and Pirbright. The results were presented at the State Veterinary Institute, Pulawy, Poland. The obtained degree in 1974 was Doctor Habilitatus of Veterinary Sciences-Microbiology. He was designated as the George C. Poppensiek Visiting Professor in International Veterinary Medicine by Cornell University, Ithaca, NY (2001) USA.

He has many different interests including journalism-work as the correspondent of the "Evening Express", Warsaw, organizer of the Fencing Club, attending the 2-year university course on the history of film, music-playing, piano-jazz a group he organized, marionette theatre, kayaking, sailing and tourism.

In 1975 Dr. Wojciechowski presented with Dr. Henryk Lis, Chief Veterinary Officer for Poland, the design of the modern Institute of Veterinary Virology and participated in the mission on the subject to France and Switzerland. The institute as the Department of Virology, the State Veterinary Institute in Pulawy was organized by the other party in 2008.

With more than 55 years of professional experience to his credit, Dr. Wojciechowski has excelled as a freelance international consultant on viral disease control and animal health since 2000. From 1977 he worked with Dr. M.H. Woodford (Afghanistan), Dr. Yokishiro Ozawa, Dr. Patrick Cunningham, Prof. Vaclav Kouba, Prof. Henryk Jasiorowski and Dr. Loerbroks (Ethiopia). Prior to his current role, he served as a global consultant for over one hundred thirty regional and country FAO Technical Cooperation Program projects on animal epidemiology-epizootiology and biotechnology from 2001 to 2003, for which he was previously an Animal Health Officer from 1982 to 1999 in the FAO Headquarters, Rome with the outposting to Ethiopia during and a project expert/manager from 1977 to 1981 in Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan and Ethiopia as well as during numerous duty travels he worked during the states of emergencies and wars under a curfew.

Prior to these appointments, Dr. Wojciechowski worked in Poland as an advisor on animal diseases control and viral diseases of livestock to the Ministry of Agriculture from 1974 to 1977. He conducted research on the diagnostics /vaccines of rabies, with Dr. Danuta Serokowa, and "respiratory viruses" of cattle. He was the co-initiator of the Global Rinderpest Eradication Program-GREP successfully concluded in 2011. After smallpox eradicated by WHO in 1976 it was the second animal virus eliminated from the globe. Dr. Wojciechowski has initiated numerous networks on veterinary biotechnology, epidemiology and informatics.

He began his career as a microbiologist-mycologist with "Polfa" Pharmaceuticals-Tarchomin, Department of Antibiotics (1961-1962).

Having humanistic interests he worked as a volunteer-scientific librarian at the Center of History of Veterinary Medicine, Warsaw (Head: Col. Dr. Konrad Marian Millak) from 1959 to 1969. From 1967 to 1969 he was the University Lecturer of Veterinary Propedeuticts with the elements of history and philosophy of sciences.

From 1967 to 1984 Dr. Wojciechowski was active as a Docent-Associate Professor of Virology, the Head of Virology Unit at the Laboratory of Veterinary Hygiene (Head: Dr. Stefan Samol) from 1967 to 1977. A respected voice in his areas of interest Dr. Wojciechowski has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society for Microbiology, the Polish Society of Veterinary Science (PSVS) and the Former UN Staff Members Association.

Throughout his career, he has been celebrated for his exemplary contributions to the field.
He cooperated with Dr. L. Carmichael, the consultant from Cornell, received an "Amicus Veterinariae"-medal in Poland. and signs of merit from the PSVS and the Polish Veterinary Services. Was granted Certificates/Letters of Appreciation from the Government of Afghanistan, Kabul (1980) and the Pan African Veterinary Vaccine Center, Debre-Zeit, Ethiopia (2004). The recipient of medal from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences-SGGW.

He has been the author of four books and over two hundred and fifty papers on professional/humanistic subjects.
