With more than 35 years of professional experience, Ms. Lashley has been a fee for service clinician with South Shore Mental Health since 1992. In addition to her primary role, she was the owner and a therapist with Children's and Family Guidance from 1989 to 2014, a consultant to nursing homes for Heritage Hospital from 1991 to 1993, a counselor and teacher with Nutri System from 1991 to 1992, and a guidance counselor with Epping Elementary School from 1989 to 1990. From 1979 to 1982 she was a daycare developmental specialist at the Paul A. Dever State School, and from 1985 to 1988, she was a maximum tier privilege coordinator with the Massachusetts Treatment Center, having been a therapist with the organization since 1982. From 1983 to 1984, she was a personnel director with the Department of Mental Health in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Ms. Lashley first pursued an education with Massasoit Community College, where she obtained an Associate of Science in psychology in 1977. She then joined Bridgewater State University, completing a Bachelor of Science in geography in 1979. She later continued her studies with the university, earning a Master of Education in counseling psychology in 1989. She is a nationally certified counselor and licensed mental health counselor.
A respected voice in her areas of interest, Ms. Lashley has been active with a number of community organizations. A member of the American Association for Certified Counselors, she has served as secretary of the Rocky Nook Point Improvement Association and as the treasurer and on the advisory board of Red Cloud Indian School. A former consultant for Easton Children's Museum, she has also been a teacher for the College Gate Summer Program. She has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the 24th edition of Who's Who in the East and the 26th edition of Who's Who of American Women.
