He previously excelled as a staff scientist with Medtronic Corporation in Santa Rosa, California. Moreover, Dr. Chornenky also held various appointments in his field with the XRT Corporation, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Born and raised in Kiev, USSR, Dr. Chornenky originally worked in Moscow as both an engineer and senior scientist with the Institute of Quantum Electronics. He subsequently found success as a professor of physics at Moscow Institute for Automobiles and Highways and as a senior scientist with the Institute of Applied Geophysics. Relocating to the United States in 1989 after more than 20 years in the field, Dr. Chornenky has contributed his wealth of research to multiple articles published in scientific journals.
Prior to embarking upon his professional path, Dr. Chornenky pursued an education at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, earning a Master of Science in 1965. He concluded his studies at the aforementioned academic institute with a Doctor of Philosophy in physics in 1974. Responsible for acquiring more than 50 U.S. patents for medical devices for cardiology, cancer treatment, osteoarthritis, nephrology and ophthalmology, one of his more recent patents included a method and apparatus for the treatment of chronic kidney disease in 2018. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Chornenky has been featured in the second edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
