CHAUTAUQUA, NY, October 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Sallie L. Holder with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Holder celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Ms. Holder initially pursued an education in the School of Nursing at Duke University ultimately receiving a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology at the University of Maryland in 1962. She completed additional course work for a Management Certificate at Prince Georges (PG) Community College in 1979. Ms. Holder pursued post graduate study at the George Washington University graduating with a Masters degree in Human Resource Development in 1982. She was certified by the Success Unlimited Network in their Basic Coaching program in 2000.
Outside of these accomplishments in her professional life, she was a member of a number of professional organizations. They include American Association of University Women, Business and Professional Women, the National Interfaith Delegate Council of the National Council on Aging, the Society of Government Meeting Planners and the International Coach Federation.
Ms. Holder received the following awards: Distinguished Service Award from the University of Maryland College of Human Ecology, an Outstanding Senior Award from St Andrew's Episcopal Church, College Park, MD, in 2011 was inducted into the Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame and 2019 received a 25 year service pin from the Smithsonian Associates program.
Currently, at Chautauqua, NY she serves on the boards of the Episcopal Cottage, the Chapel of the Good Shepherd and the Chautauqua Opera Guild. At home, she continues to volunteer at the Arena Stage, the Smithsonian's Associate program, and the University of Maryland School of Music Board of Visitors.
