HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, October 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Phyllis Gaylard with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Phyllis Gaylard celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After accruing 35 years of professional excellence, Ms. Gaylard retired from her role as an engineering manager for Rockwell International, where she also worked as a member of the technical staff. Earlier in her career, she found success in a number of positions with North American Aviation, TRW and PDA Engineering. Even though her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Gaylard is especially proud of her efforts to insure the structural integrity of TRW's descent engine for the Lunar Module of the Apollo program, as well as developing an improved connector for solar arrays to prevent fatigue failure, and contributing to a number of classified projects in top-secret facilities.
An expert in her field, Ms. Gaylard initially earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of California Los Angeles. She subsequently concluded her studies with a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Gaylard is affiliated with the Society of Women Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
For her outstanding achievements, Ms. Gaylard was presented with an Engineering Merit Award from the Orange County Engineering Council and a fellowship from the Institute for the Advancement of Engineering. Likewise, she has been celebrated in the first edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gaylard intends to continue enjoying her retirement.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Phyllis Gaylard has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
